Investment in Climate & Biodiversity for Creating Positive Impact for The Planet

This project focuses on restoring degraded forest and elephant habitat within the Bukit Tigapuluh landscape, one of the last remaining lowland rainforests in central Sumatra. Tree planting and habitat enrichment are essential to recover ecosystem functions, reconnect wildlife corridors, and reduce human–elephant conflict caused by habitat loss and fragmentation. The landscape is home to critically endangered Sumatran elephants, tigers, and orangutans, making its protection globally important. Through collaboration with Indigenous and local communities, the project combines conservation-driven restoration with agroforestry-based livelihoods, ensuring long-term ecological resilience, climate benefits, and sustainable social impact.
