Block - Punggualas Tehang Tuan

Restoring this landscape is critical to reconnecting fragmented wildlife habitat, protecting Bornean orangutans and proboscis monkeys, and safeguarding the long-term carbon storage and hydrological functions of peatlands. Through forest enrichment, protection of natural regeneration, and peat rewetting, the project aims to restore an estimated 111,000 trees while strengthening the resilience of local livelihoods. By linking conservation with orangutan ecotourism in Punggualas and FSC-certified community rattan production, the project offers a tangible opportunity for businesses to co-invest in nature restoration, climate mitigation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable local economies.
